  • Rear drum, shoes dragging.

    changing the backing plate, trying to reassemble, shoes are dragging bad, seems like the top spring is too long to compensate for the brake cylinder spring, but with the cylinder empty instead of full of fluid, can that be my issue?
    cyl spring is 2.35" top spring is 3.85 inside the hooks.

    You've gotta stretch that top spring pretty far to hook it. It hooks at a different place on each shoe.
