  • Need caliper seal kit

Ok, I've gotten the wrong item now 4 times.73 FX but I have a 16" front wheel with a dual caliper hub. The bannanna caliper piston is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. A part number would be most helpfull. It's an o-ring and dust boot

It's got 2 banana calipers on the front? can't say I ever saw that.
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing.

Set up for two, only running one. Kinda hard getting some parts figgered out. I have the 71-84 FX parts book but alot don't jive. . Vin# is FX but have hinged rear fender, 5 gallon bobs, wide glide/16" front wheel, fx fender, elec start etc. Morphidite or conversion over the years?

Thats what the manual calls out but its way too small in diameter. It looks more like the 80 rear set up. 44133-72 and 44007-80

That may be an after market caliper. Then God only knows.

Opie, there are two different series of banana calipers as Joey says, '72 - '79 and '80 - up. The piston in your pic is for the '80 - up style, and uses a square cross section seal in the caliper body instead of the oring on the piston itself. If your caliper has a groove for the seal, inboard of the groove for the dust boot, you have the right piston and need the '80 - up seal. Otherwise, you need both a piston and oring for the earlier style caliper.
