84' FXSB with the OEM rear master cylinder and caliper. Few months back I had a small leak coming from the plunger on the master cylinder so I put a rebuild kit in with fresh DOT 5 fluid. Nice firm pedal.
Been a few hundred miles since but now I have a weird issue. Still a nice firm pedal unless I slowly press on the brake pedal. If I slowly apply the brake it will continue to drop with no engagement of the brakes. I can let up and quickly hit the brake pedal again and it's nice and firm. It won't drop either once the brakes are applied.... only happens when I slowly apply the brake pedal.
I bled it again with no improvement. No leaks anywhere. I'm thinking the master cylinder internally is letting fluid right by when I slowly engage the brakes.
Has anyone ever experienced this?
